Which Trampoline Size is Best For Me?
Choosing the size of your trampoline can be challenging if you don't have experience owning one. With thousands of trampolines by size in different shapes available it can be difficult to decide what to buy and you can often feel lost in a sea of information. To help you decide, our trampolines by size have been split into categories
as you can see above.
If you still need help deciding which trampoline size is right for you, we have written more detailed descriptions of things to consider below:The Right Trampoline Size for the Right Person
Firstly, it is very important to know who will be using the trampoline. If you have a young family it is best to go for trampoline size of 8ft
as they are specifically designed with younger children in mind due to the fact that they can support less weight with a lower frame height. They are also cheaper than larger trampoline sizes
It is also important to note that the 8ft trampoline is designed to be used by only one child at a time; this means the trampoline is much safer as most injuries occur when multiple children are bouncing on the trampoline.
On the other hand, if you have an older family that includes teenagers and above, you should only consider a trampoline size of 12ft
. The larger sizes have a higher maximum weight limit. If you have a range of children from very little to older teenagers, we recommend looking at a 12ft trampoline. It will allow for the older children to bounce easily with plenty of space but it has a less powerful bounce than the 14ft, meaning younger children will be more stable when bouncing.
The next variable to consider is your garden, how much room you have and what size of trampoline will be suitable. Remember that you should have at least 3ft of space around the trampoline to allow for bouncers to safely enter and exit the trampoline. When choosing where to put the trampoline, select an area of flat, level ground and preferably grassy and away from sheds or low hanging tree branches.
The last thing to consider is the features vary according to the range and size of trampoline. Traditionally as the trampoline size increases, it has more springs for example. The different ranges we sell offer different sizes of springs and this will influence how the bounce of the trampoline peforms. When you have learnt about trampoline sizes and what they offer you need to consider what brand will be best for you.Choose the Right Size of Trampoline from a Quality Brand
Beware of brands that sell trampolines by size of poor quality that have springs that will wear out sooner, framework that will rust quicker and pads that will soon deflate. We only buy in products that we have confidence in. The brands we sell through our website are of the highest standard regardless of the size of trampoline. Our Skyhigh Trampoline
and Xtreme 360 Trampoline
series are a perfect example of this, both offering great specs, safety and low price tags.
After you have decided on a brand and trampoline size you may also want to consider what kind of accessories you may need in order to make your trampoline as safe and enjoyable as possible. We offer all our trampolines by size with the option of including a ladder and a cover. The ladder creates the option of having one safe access point to the trampoline and the cover will keep it in top shape all year round. These extras are available for all the trampoline sizes we sell on our trampoline deals page.
